A microchip implant is an identifying integrated circuit placed under the skin of an animal. The microchip, about the size of a grain of rice, is administered similarly to a vaccine using a syringe, and uses passive RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology.

Animal shelters, animal control officers and veterinarians routinely look for microchips to return lost pets quickly to their owners, avoiding expenses for housing, food, medical care and euthanasia. Many shelters place microchips in all adopted animals.

Each Save This Life microchip number is searchable in Google. When someone finds a pet and Googles the microchip number, they are able to privately contact the pet owner with a text message and an email. The pet owner receives a GPS map of where the person who found their pet is actually located. Microchips are not a GPS system, the online recovery system uses geo-tracking to locate the user when they send an alert.

We offer a wide variety of bathing options. We provide bath services for dogs and cats. We are sure to clip their nails, clear ears and brush out loose hair after the bath. Depending on Dr. Connolly's recommendation on shampooing and conditioner, we can bath in regular scented shampoo and conditioner or provide a medicated bath for those who have previous skin conditions.

 *Vaccine Requirements for Boarding

       Dogs must be current on:

  •     Rabies vaccine
  •     Dhp-cpv (distemper-adenovirus type 2-parainfluenza-parvovirus)
  •     Bordetella (kennel cough)

    Cats must be current on:

  •     Rabies vaccine
  •     Fvr-cpv (feline rhinotracheitis-calici-panleukopenia)

If necessary, we will treat your pet with Advantage for fleas.

*If your pet was vaccinated elsewhere, we will need verification from that veterinarian's office.
Please find a Medical Records Release Form on our "Forms" page.
You may print this, fill it out and give it to the veterinarian's office that vaccinated
your pet. They can then release the records to us.
